Free Ep - Ry, Drive

So it seems not that long ago Ry rapped up his Life is Grande series which was one of the biggest projects that he has embarked on to date. However unlike most other artist who would either take a break or not release anything for a few months Ry is back at it agin. With the release of yet another free ep entitled "Drive". This quick turn around which is forever becoming faster and faster really shows his dedication to his art.

The track Let Me Know sees Ry reflect on his personal life and how his music has at some point forced him to make sacrifices. "She's working as an actress, trying to find a job/ Im working as a rapper, trying to find a spot/ But we both got bills, lord know that we lost/ Went our own way, I guess fate had it wrong/". It is clear that Ry is one of the most under appreciated artists in the scene and it is only a matter of time before he earns the recognition he deserves. Go cop his new ep Drive here.

Seth Sentry - My Scene

First emerging onto the Australian Hip Hop Scene with the release of his track, "The Waitress Song" being added to the rotation on Triple J's after requests for the track swamped in from listeners across the county. It was evident that the track had a strong connection with the listeners, and in due course it placed number 31 on that years Hottest 100. Seth then hit the road with good mate Pez with a 31 date tour which saw him preform form coast to coast.

To date Seth Sentry only has one EP, one national tour under his belt and countless guest spots on tracks with various artist with the like of Pez, Horrorshow and Forthwrite to name a few. However with a successful following on Facebook of over 15 000 followers and over 100 000 views on his rappertag his success can be put down to his skill as an emcee and his fans.

Seth has a particular approach that he takes when writing a track, it seems that he is not focused on himself but his surroundings. This is evident throughout The Waiter Minute EP with tracks like The Waitress Song and Simple game examples of how he looks at the world around him and turns what he sees and experiences into a mind blowing song.

Last week Seth Sentry dropped the first single from his long awaited debut album, due out later this year. The track sees Seth take us on a journey on his quest to find his "scene" only to find that not everyone is has a scene and instead lead a nomad style of life. Where by they do not plant their roots in any one place rather, find aspects of each scene that you fit into and make for a worthwhile visit now and agin. Check out Seths latest single, My Scene below.
